It’s been a week full of world premieres for the Warframe community. First, a collaboration with Starfinder was not only announced, but Amelia Tyler and Ben Starr, who voice Eleanor and Arthur, joined the team to play it live. Two non-canon Protoframes were also announced for the collaboration (though many fans, myself included, would love to see these Protos made official).
Then, in Devstream 190, more news was shared. The Android and Switch 2 versions are progressing well. Gameplay of the Switch 2 version was shown. A closed beta is expected in November for Android, and a 2026 released for the Switch version. For those looking forward to updates on new content, 190 delivered, and exceeded expectations.
The Devil’s Triad
A deep dive into the Devil’s Triad was also showcased in 190. New information about the characters/Gemini Skins like Roathe (Uriel), Father Lyon Allard (Harrow), and Marie Leroux (Wisp), was shared, along with their animations and emotes. The abilities for the new Warframe, Uriel, were also revealed, and they look incredible; from unique companions to a flying ability when bullet jumping. These new characters are all datable as well.
New Game Mode
The most surprising and impressive news, however, was the new mode that will accompany the Old Peace update: The Descendia. Descendia is a tower with 21 floors, and on every seventh floor, players will encounter a character from the Triad. The exciting twist of this mode is that players must escape each room before flames overtake it. Another game mode, The Perita Rebellion, will also be arriving with the update, though it will be showcased in a later Devstream.
Additional News
A total of $312,000 CAD was raised for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (glad of this team and community). Rewards for this achievement include the Zephyr Conquera Skin and Conquera Uplift Syandana. More customization options and details for the Operator rework were also shown — and they’re looking great. For MMO enthusiasts, a Title System is also in the works. Gyre Prime was announced as well. Additional news on the other game modes and content for the Old Peace update will be shared in a November Devstream. Old Peace is currently expected to release in December 2025.
