Iceblade of Narin has arrived in Warframe. While we Tenno wait for our next adventure in Tau, this side stop brings us to a cold location and the 66th Warframe, Narin. “It feels very nostalgic to return to some of Warframe’s most iconic locations before we make our way to Tau,” said Megan Everett, Community Director, about this update. “Our fall updates have started to become special homecomings to old content with new ideas for the ever-changing tastes of our community. We’re honored that this diverse community is just as thrilled as we are to return to moments and locations from Warframe’s history and dig deeper into them with new perspectives and tastes. We have so much planned for our new Star System later this year, but we promise to never lose sight of what came before.”
Narin, aka the dancer of bloodstained ice, brings some of the most unique abilities, such as summoning swords to freeze enemies, wings to take flight and dive into an explosion, using snow to restore shields, and skating across battle in a sword dance that deals massive damage. Narin also arrives with a signature bow, Nunchasa, and dual ice pistols, Aksondol. With this update, we can go back to the top of Yuvan Peak as a new social zone where we can exchange new wares with Cephalon Melica.
With this update, Citrine joins the Prime roster, accompanied by the Steflos Prime shotgun and the Corufell Prime scythe. Banshee gets an ability rework alongside a Deluxe Bundle that fits with the theme of Iceblade of Narin, and a Deluxe for Qorvex arrives as well. New Tennogen content arrives in the store as well, including the Reliquia Syandana backpiece by lex182 & Therion, a Gothica Signa headpiece by Malaya, the Vermis Signa headpiece by Travelling Merchant & Therion, Jadie, & Awk’Q-Luz, a Jade Coven Warframe Skin by blazingcobalt, and a Citrine Heliotropia Alt. Helmet by ventralhound.
The 6-player mode, Glacial Defiance, was supposed to arrive with this update, but was delayed for some more fixes and polishing. Digital Extremes promises that the mode will be available in a few weeks.
